U2 Revision: Pre production and planning
Proposal/treatment- a brief overview of the problems, costs, solution, target audience, benefits, legal, and ethical issues. This is used to describe all the details of the product for the production team
Production schedule- deadlines, dates and the job roles for an activity, it also includes a contingency plan. This is used to help the product team know the dates and times of their activities and jobs
SWOT analysis- Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats of a product. Helps early pre production
Asset logs- a record of all the equipment and assets that are in the production of a product. This can help the team keep track of what they brought or what they need for production on the day
Call sheets- It also outlines the daily shooting schedule for the day. timed dates of the activity, actors and other job roles on the day.
Risk assessments- highlighting health and safety issues that can hurt people or damage equipment
Recce- looking at location and seeing if its best fit for production/ this could be weather and is used so that no equipment can be damaged so that production is not halted
Storyboard- scene content/ written content/ key editing/ how long/ scene number. This is the initial concepts for the scenes
Script-character actions and what they say/dialogue/performance and tone/who is saying da words/diegetic (characters hear) and non diegetic sounds (characters do not hear)/ editing techniques
Shooting script- for director and camera man/ tells us when we need to film/ will have time code on one side
Concept art- character look/costume/design of characters/ colour/ location/ logo/ texture/ movement of character
Visualisation diagram- sketch of final product/ colours/ annotations/ house-style/ title and subtitle/ position and layout of images and content
Flat plan/wireframe-the layout of the website/ navigation and used for apps and websites/ header/ copyright/ (picture placeholder) identified via a box and cross/ text place holders filled with sample text
Prototype-a demo version of the product/ this can show how the product will work and any problems that it might have. This can help make the final version more polished
Set design- design of scene
From/consent/release form- form that is signed by a location or actor allowing us to use that actor or area for the product
Site structure- hierarchy of navigation
